Why Is The Mission Corner Important?
As the body of Christ, we want to reach as many people as possible and show others how much God loves them by the way we love and care for them. But we understand that we can't do it all. That is why Mission Partners are so important here at The Chapel. By partnering with these organizations, we are able to champion and support them in prayer, in finances, and in manpower by joining them in the work God has called them to. Through these partnerships, we are able to reach wider and further into the work God has called us to for the sake of others.
August Mission Spotlight: MorningStar
From MorningStar:
“MorningStar Children’s Home, located in Brunswick, GA, specializes in caring for Georgia’s special needs foster boys, ages 12-21, who have come into care due to abuse, neglect, and abandonment. We accept children from across the state to our 45-bed campus, the only residential program in Georgia which solely serves developmentally delayed youth, many with autism and complex healthcare needs.
In addition to providing home for the children, our mission is to help create brighter futures for each through therapeutic counseling, life skill training, workforce coaching, and a host of ongoing recreation opportunities. Our goal is to help them heal from trauma and set them up for success as they grow toward adulthood.”
