The Chapel Effingham meets in Rincon, GA and joined the Chapel Ministries in May 2017.  We love to laugh together, worship together, serve together, and grow together. If you are looking for a place to belong, an environment without pretense or judgment, and a community seeking to be authentic in following the teachings of Jesus, give us a try.

Hey, thank you for checking out The Chapel, a United Methodist Congregation. You are going to find that there are some really incredible people here, that over time can become great friends. We know you need a little time and space to check things out and we respect that. In fact, we encourage it. You will discover pretty quickly that this is an imperfect church with imperfect people lead by an imperfect pastor, but we are doing our best to follow a perfect God. We tend to do things a little bit differently, because we think church should be fun for the whole family and we believe you are special to God. Our desire is to provide an environment where you are able to encounter God. So come, relax and make yourself at home. Grab a cup of coffee. Heck, kick off your shoes if you think it will help. See you soon.

Visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating for the whole family. We strive to make your visit as comfortable as possible. From our warm welcome, to our safe check-in for your kids, to a fully stocked cafe with all kinds of great foods and drinks for you to enjoy, to engaging worship, our goal is to never single you out or apply pressure. We trust God is already working in your life and will prompt you when you are ready to take a next step in your faith. A key feature of our congregation is our generous service in the community.  We believe in partnerships with other churches and organizations to make a real and lasting change in the world. Living out our faith in the community is at the heart of who we are.

Chapel Kids wants kids to be excited about Jesus! Each Sunday, kids at The Chapel Effingham participate in a service of their own. Our children's ministry is all about building faith through Bible stories, songs, group activities, and fun! Chapel Kids is divided into three groups based on age and development stage.  Sunday mornings are packed full of loving volunteers and energetic kids. Find out more by following us on Facebook.

Email anna@thechapelministries.com if you have any questions.

Chapel Students is all about creating environments for high school and middle school students to encounter God and fall in love with Jesus. Each week during the school year, our students gather to participate in worship, small groups, and games.  During the summer, we have special events like a weekly Bible Study, Youth camp, Youth Mission Trip, and more!  To find out more information on what we have going on download our APP and find us on Facebook.

Email anna@thechapelministries.com if you have any questions.

Parenting is hard work! The good news is, you don't have to do it alone. We believe in a philosophy called orange. When we work together and combine red, the heart of the home, and yellow, the light of the church, we can create transformational change in the lives of our children, youth, and parents.

Small groups are a place to start to meet new people, find community, and grow in your faith.  We will be launching new Small Groups in the Fall, and will have a list here where you can find and register for groups.  You will also be able to find a list of our small groups in our APP.

Sunday mornings at The Chapel Effingham are awesome, but we can't do it without you! Whether it is setting up the cafe, holding doors, serving on the tech team, or serving in the children's ministry, your role on Sunday is essential to what we do! If you want to become a part of one of our service teams, email jodie@thechapelministries.com.

At The Chapel we believe that we are missionaries every single day. Whether you are at work, at the store, at home, or even at church you have an opportunity to serve. We also partner with several organizations, some local and some not so local, where you can get involved. Some of our local mission partners include Backpack Buddies, Family Promise of Effingham, and Habitat for Humanity.  Email Jodie@thechapelministries.com to find out more about our Mission Partners and how to get started in mission.

We know that at times life can be hard and we want you to know that you matter. As a body of believers we want to walk with you through those difficult times. That is what the Care Ministry is for. Click the link below to find out how you can give or receive love.

We don't have members at The Chapel. We have partners. A partner is someone who commits to become more like Christ as we work together to accomplish God's work in our community and our world. To become a partner you must attend our Next Steps Partner Retreat. If you have any questions email sara@thechapelministries.com.
