Hey, thank you for checking out The Chapel, a United Methodist Congregation. You are going to find that there are some really incredible people here, that over time can become great friends. We know you need a little time and space to check things out and we respect that. In fact, we encourage it. You will discover pretty quickly that this is an imperfect church with imperfect people lead by an imperfect pastor, but we are doing our best to follow a perfect God. We tend to do things a little bit differently, because we think church should be fun for the whole family and we believe you are special to God. Our desire is to provide an environment where you are able to encounter God. So come, relax and make yourself at home. Grab a cup of coffee. Heck, kick off your shoes if you think it will help. See you soon.

Visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating for the whole family. We strive to make your visit as comfortable as possible. From our warm welcome, to our safe check-in for your kids, to a fully stocked cafe with all kinds of great foods and drinks for you to enjoy, to engaging worship, our goal is to never single you out or apply pressure. We trust God is already working in your life and will prompt you when you are ready to take a next step in your faith. A key feature of our congregation is our generous service in the community.  We believe in partnerships with other churches and organizations to make a real and lasting change in the world. Living out our faith in the community is at the heart of who we are.

Chapel Kids wants kids to be excited about Jesus! Each Sunday, kids at The Chapel Effingham participate in a service of their own. Our children's ministry is all about building faith through Bible stories, songs, group activities, and fun! Chapel Kids is divided into three groups based on age and development stage.  Sunday mornings are packed full of loving volunteers and energetic kids. Find out more by following us on Facebook.

Email anna@thechapelministries.com if you have any questions.

L.A.M.E.(Living A Mission Everyday) Mission Trip:  June 3rd - June 7th

This trip is for all rising 6th-9th grade students. We will be traveling to Macon, GA for our annual mission trip. We have partnered with Rebuilding Macon again this year. They are excited about us coming back and helping those who are in need in their area. We serve the community by painting houses, yard work, and just giving homes an overall exterior facelift. We also make time for daily devotion, spiritual growth, and fun activities.  Get more information and REGISTER HERE.

ADVENTURE CAMP:  June 17th - June 21st

Back by popular demand, we will be going to Copperhill, Tennessee! The camp is for all rising 6th-12th grade students. Last year’s camp was the highlight of the summer for several of our youth and we also had volunteers that enjoyed it so much that they decided to become small group leaders for our youth. There will be whitewater rafting, ropes courses, the BLOB in the lake, and other high intensity games!  Get more information and REGISTER HERE.

Parenting is hard work! The good news is, you don't have to do it alone. We believe in a philosophy called orange. When we work together and combine red, the heart of the home, and yellow, the light of the church, we can create transformational change in the lives of our children, youth, and parents.

Small groups are a place to start to meet new people, find community, and grow in your faith. If you want to take the next step in those areas you can sign up for a group using the link below. To start your own group email sara@thechapelministries.com.

Sunday mornings at The Chapel Effingham are awesome, but we can't do it without you! Whether it is setting up the cafe, holding doors, serving on the tech team, or serving in the children's ministry, your role on Sunday is essential to what we do! If you want to become a part of one of our service teams, email sara@thechapelministries.com.

At The Chapel we believe that we are missionaries every single day. Whether you are at work, at the store, at home, or even at church you have an opportunity to serve. We also partner with several organizations, some local and some not so local, where you can get involved. Some of our local mission partners include Backpack Buddies, Family Promise of Effingham, and Habitat for Humanity.  Email Andy@thechapelministries.com to find out more about our Mission Partners and how to get started in mission.

We know that at times life can be hard and we want you to know that you matter. As a body of believers we want to walk with you through those difficult times. That is what the Care Ministry is for. Click the link below to find out how you can give or receive love.

We don't have members at The Chapel. We have partners. A partner is someone who commits to become more like Christ as we work together to accomplish God's work in our community and our world. To become a partner you must attend our Next Steps Partner Retreat.

If you think you're ready to take your 'next step' and sign up for the next Partnership retreat, or if you have any questions, email sara@thechapelministries.com.
